Larry Benjamin

June 10, 1953 – August 17, 2026

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Larry Joseph Benjamin on August 17, 2026.

Larry was born on June 10, 1953 in Rosetown and was raised in D’Arcy. On September 7, 1974, he married the love of his life, Brenda Preston, beginning a marriage that spanned 52 wonderful years. Together, Larry and Brenda made their home in Brock, where they raised their four sons and built a life filled with family, memories, and love.

Larry's greatest pride was his family. His years in Brock were filled with the simple joys of family life and the memories created with Brenda, his children and grandchildren will remain cherished forever. He will be remembered for the life he built, the people he loved, and the many ways he was a part of the lives of those around him.

Larry will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Brenda, and his children: Robert and Lisa, Clint and Lana, Dean, and Evan. He was a proud grandfather to Harrison, Charlotte, Hayley and Clara and will also be missed by his beloved grand dogs Gus, Finn and Bo. He is survived by his siblings Jeanne Evans; George and Linda Benjamin; Barry and Karin Benjamin; Maxine Taylor; Bob and Sue Speir; Mac and Maxine Speir; and Dee Simpson, along with many extended family members and friends whose lives he touched over the years.

Larry was predeceased by his parents Ferd and Yvonne Benjamin; his parents-in-law Jim and Myrtle Speir and John Preston; his siblings and brothers and sisters-in-law Rita and Don Kneller, Eva and Alvin Gallinger, Dent Evans, Mervin Abbott, Peter Speir and Dennis Smith; and his brother Lawrence, who passed away in infancy.

A Celebration of Larry's Life was held on Monday, August 24, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the Brock Community Centre.
