Richard William Kerr

February 4, 1948 - August 2, 2026

Richard passed away August 2, 2026 in Saskatoon at the age of 78, with his brother and close friends by his side.

Richard is survived by his brother Dennis of Eston.

Predeceased by his parents William and Madeline Kerr; Kerr and Rozon grandparents, cousins Lionel & Pearl Graham, Jean Graham, Rita & Charlie Helm, Frances Lane and Donna Oliphant.

His family was small as his parents were both only children.

Richard was born on February 4, 1948 in Eston. He was raised on the family farm in the Amdewanda area and he took part of his schooling in a country school and moved on to Eston for his higher grades.

He resided in Saskatoon for 55 Years, working at various jobs including Home Support, University of Saskatchewan Support Staff and Maitre d’ at the King George.

Richard loved tending to flowers, gardening and when his eye sight was better going for long drives.  He loved reading and had an impeccable memory for history and dates.  He faced many health challenges over the years and handled each with dignity and grace.

A funeral service was held on Thursday August 13th at St. Andrews United Church in Eston with Ryan Sawchuk & Dale Worrall  officiating. Interment in the Eston Cemetery.

Thank you to Dr.’s and nurses at St. Paul’s Hospital for their care, friends that helped Dennis prepare for the service, pallbearers, ushers, pianist & choir.
