Rocky Mountain Equipment opens sixth year of $10,000 ag society grants

Rocky Mountain Equipment has launched the 2026 Right by You Ag Society Grant program, which will award four $10,000 grants to agricultural societies across Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.

Now in its sixth year, the program will bring RME's total contribution to $240,000 since launch. The grants support projects that strengthen rural communities, including gathering facilities, event spaces and educational programs.

"At RME, Right by You means making a real and lasting impact in the communities we serve," said Garrett Ganden, president and CEO of RME. "Agricultural societies are central to rural life here in Western Canada. Our ongoing leadership of this program is just one of the ways we stand beside them and help strengthen these important community pillars."

Agricultural societies in the three Prairie provinces are eligible to apply. Funded projects must be completed within two years of the award.

Last year's recipients included the Perdue Ag Society in Saskatchewan, which received a Ferris IS700-60C zero-turn mower to maintain nearly 11 acres of grounds serving Asquith and Perdue.

"As we approach 20 years of serving communities throughout western Canada, we feel honoured to have played a role in the long-term success of so many agricultural societies across the Prairies," Ganden said.

Applications close July 31, 2026. Recipients will be announced Sept. 30, 2026. Application forms and details are available at www.rockymtn.com/AgSociety-Grant.
