Young sculptors display their talent
By Joan Janzen
Six young sculptors had the opportunity to display their talent at the Luseland Library's fourth art class of the summer on Thursday afternoon. Under the supervision of artist Jared Fischer, the kids aged 5 and up enjoyed an afternoon making creations out of air dry clay. The class was free of charge, sponsored by the Community Initiatives Fund Summer Grant Program.
The group made cute little gnomes before they had the opportunity to design their own creations. Their pieces included mini teapots, ghosts and charcuterie boards as the ideas kept flowing. Two of the kids participating were from Edmonton and Saskatoon, and the other four were local children. Next week the fun will continue as they get together to paint their creations.
