Wilkie woman charged with weapons offence, two thefts

A 43-year-old Wilkie woman faces three charges after RCMP investigated a theft complaint between May 12 and 18.

She was charged with unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon and two counts of theft under $5,000.

In separate Wilkie files, a 47-year-old woman was charged with failing to comply with a probation order, and a 20-year-old woman was charged with assault and mischief following a complaint of assault.

Wilkie members also located a missing person, executed an arrest warrant on behalf of Saskatoon Police Service, issued a 60-day roadside suspension, conducted a wellbeing check, and responded to multiple complaints of trespassing, threats, theft and breach of peace. Several files were closed when complainants declined to proceed or evidence was insufficient. One report of damage to residential property remains under investigation.

UNITY

Unity RCMP investigated a fraud complaint that remains open.

Members responded to a request from Child and Family Services to attend a residence, transported a pedestrian off the highway to a nearby community, and assisted CN Police with a railway crossing malfunction.

A complaint about unpaid rent was deemed civil rather than criminal. Officers also handled three traffic complaints, one false 911 call and one false alarm.

MACKLIN

Macklin members issued a three-day roadside suspension during a traffic stop and responded to an assault complaint that did not proceed after the complainant declined. One false 911 call was also logged.
