Wagner recognized as SaskEnergy Volunteer Champion

By Joan Janzen

The Kindersley Klippers were proud to recognize Jenn Wagner as their 2025-2026 SaskEnergy Volunteer Champion on Family Day. Jenn puts in hours of effort and time supporting her community, and appreciated the award very much. Nevertheless, she said giving back to the community is her biggest reward.

“I spent about fifteen years on the Jr. Klippers board and most of my son’s minor hockey years volunteering with his team in some way,” she said. “Teams and organizations literally cannot run without volunteers. It’s such an important part of a community.”

Receiving the award came as a complete surprise to this dedicated volunteer. She confessed that giving of your time can be thankless at times. “But it’s also very fulfilling to be part of something bigger than yourself.”

Congrats Jenn! And thank you for playing such an important role in our community.
