Sylvan Lake man killed in semi collision west of Marengo

MARENGO — A 63-year-old Sylvan Lake, Alta. man died Tuesday afternoon following a collision on Highway 7 west of Marengo.

Kindersley RCMP received the report at approximately 4:25 p.m. on Sept. 1. Officers responded along with local fire and EMS.

Investigation determined a pick-up truck and a semi truck collided approximately six kilometres west of Marengo. The driver of the pick-up was declared deceased at the scene by EMS. His family has been notified.

The driver of the semi reported no physical injuries.

Kindersley RCMP continue to investigate with the assistance of a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist.
