Saskatoon man dies in Lake Diefenbaker incident

OUTLOOK—A 30-year-old Saskatoon man has died following a water-related incident on Lake Diefenbaker.

Outlook RCMP received a report of the incident at approximately 4:45 p.m. on June 6.

RCMP officers responded along with local emergency medical services. On June 7, members of the Saskatchewan RCMP Underwater Recovery Team recovered the man's body from the water. He was declared deceased at the scene.

The deceased has been identified as a 30-year-old Saskatoon resident. His family has been notified.

The Saskatchewan Coroners Service has taken carriage of the investigation.

RCMP said the death is being investigated as a sudden death. Police indicated there is no evidence of criminality and no further details will be released.
