RCMP report mischief, harassing communications and Highway 7 sideswipe

ROSETOWN - Rosetown and Kyle RCMP responded to a range of calls between May 14 and May 21, 2026, including mischief complaints, harassing communications, a suspected hit-and-run involving a semi tractor, and a wellbeing check.

On May 15, RCMP received a mischief complaint in Sovereign.

On May 16, RCMP received a disturbing the peace call in Lucky Lake. Members attended but were unable to locate the vehicle. A suspicious vehicle was reported near Wiseton. Members patrolled the area but did not locate it. A theft was reported in Rosetown. There was insufficient evidence to proceed with the investigation. Members attended a complaint of mischief to a motor vehicle in Lucky Lake.

On May 17, RCMP received a complaint of cows on the roadway on Highway 7 near Fiske. Members attended but did not locate any cows on the road.

On May 18, RCMP received a harassing communications complaint in Rosetown. A second harassing communications complaint was reported in Kyle.

On May 19, RCMP received a suspicious vehicle complaint in Rosetown. Patrols were made and the vehicle was not located. A traffic hazard was reported on Highway 7 near Rosetown. The debris has been removed from the roadway.

On May 20, RCMP received an erratic driving complaint on Highway 15 near Sovereign. Members were not in a position to intercept the vehicle. A semi tractor was reported to have side-swiped a truck on Highway 7 near Zealandia. No injuries were reported and RCMP are still investigating.

On May 21, RCMP conducted a wellbeing check near Zealandia.

RCMP issued 20 traffic-related charges, and responded to one 911 misdial and one false alarm during the reporting period.
