RCMP link three thefts across Kindersley detachment area

KINDERSLEY – Kindersley RCMP are investigating a string of business thefts across the detachment area since Sept. 1 that investigators believe may be connected.

On Sept. 1 at approximately 8:40 p.m., police received a report of a theft at a business on 11 Avenue East in Kindersley. Investigation determined three individuals attempted to leave the business with a significant amount of unpaid merchandise. An employee approached them as they were exiting, and the group fled, leaving the merchandise behind.

On Sept. 2 at approximately 3:25 p.m., RCMP received a report of a theft at a business on Railway Avenue East in Eatonia. Three individuals entered the store and stole several handheld tools.

On Sept. 3 at approximately 6:50 p.m., police received a report of a theft at a business on Railway Avenue Southeast in Eston, where a trailer and a side-by-side were stolen.

The suspects are believed to be two males and a female in their late teens or 20s. During the Sept. 2 theft, one male was wearing blue jeans and an orange and green camouflage-patterned Zoo York hoodie. The second male wore blue jeans, a black hoodie with a graphic on the front, a tan-coloured jacket and a black hat. The female wore a black tank top, black leggings and dark-coloured sneakers.

The suspects are believed to be travelling in a 2015 GMC Sierra crew cab truck with a generator in the box. A photo of the truck was collected during the Eatonia investigation. As of Sept. 4, neither the suspects nor the truck had been located.
