Multi-artist exhibit showcases creativity at Kerrobert Art Gallery
By Joan Janzen
The latest exhibit at the Kerrobert Art Gallery celebrates the creativity of 17 emerging and established artists from the Battlefords Art Club. The multi-artist, multi-discipline exhibition is on display through Sept. 30.
Working under the motto, "Art Brings Us Together," the exhibit features an impressive variety of artistic styles and mediums, including painting, pottery, textiles, pastels, collage, sculpture, photography and woodworking.
The exhibition highlights the work of Deb Derenoski, Margaret Parkinson, Grace Gerein, Brianne Hager, Joanne Rivers, Terry Hochbaum, Lorraine Beards, Rosemarie Stadnyk, John Bowyer, Ljubica Fa-Hardi, Sara Lundrigan, Holly Hildebrand, Linda Hauk, Pam Beaver, Becky Stroo, Leah Milton and Brenda Gardiner.
Visitors will find everything from realistic portraiture and prairie landscapes to whimsical mixed-media creations, detailed wood carvings, photography and imaginative sculptural works. Together, the collection reflects the diversity of talent within the Battlefords Art Club while demonstrating that creativity can take many different forms.
An opening reception for the exhibit is planned for Sept. 13.
If you're in Kerrobert this summer, be sure to stop by the gallery and experience the many different perspectives on display. You won't be disappointed.
