Moose on the loose near Pinkham

A young bull moose has made himself at home on a farm acreage near Pinkham. The family believes he beds down by their dugout. He has wandered through the yard at least twice, coming within about 50 feet of the house. Photographer, Sarah, dug out her long lens and caught him striding through the autumn grass on Friday afternoon, Oct. 9. It’s rutting season for moose in Saskatchewan. Bulls can be unpredictable and aggressive this time of year, even young ones. If you spot one, give it plenty of room and keep pets close.
