Luseland students showcase hobbies through rotating school display

LUSELAND — Students at Luseland Composite School are sharing their hobbies and creative interests through a rotating display cabinet featuring crafts and personal collections.

School staff introduced the initiative to encourage student well-being, recognizing that hobbies and creative activities can play a role in supporting positive mental health. The display gives students an opportunity to share their interests with classmates and teachers.

All of the pieces in the arts and crafts cabinet at Luseland Composite School were made at home by students from grades 4-12. SUBMITTED

The current exhibit features arts and crafts created at home by students in Grades 4 through 12, along with a small number of pieces made by staff members. All items in the display were produced outside the classroom.

Previous exhibits have highlighted a range of student interests, including rock and mineral collections contributed by more than a dozen students, as well as displays focused on Star Wars memorabilia, Lego creations, and First Nations and Inuit artifacts.

The display cabinet is updated regularly, allowing different students and collections to be featured throughout the school year.
