Local business receives Canadian Choice Award

Jen Ginther, owner of The Crafted Hand, was pleasantly surprised to receive an email announcing that her shop at 100 Main St. in Kindersley had been selected as a Canadian Choice Award recipient.

“I am filled with such gratitude!” Ginther said. “It makes my heart so happy that you all are loving these local and Canadian-made products as much as I do!”

The recognition began with nominations from community members. As nominations increased, businesses moved closer to award-winning status. The top three finalists in each town or city were then reviewed by a panel that considered service quality, customer feedback, reputation, and community impact. One winner from each community was ultimately selected.

Ginther said the award is also a celebration of the makers who help stock her shelves. “It wouldn’t be a win without all your awesome creations that I’m proud to carry,” she said.

She also expressed appreciation to customers who continue to support local. “When you come through the doors, you’re supporting small businesses and Canadian makers,” she said. “We wouldn’t be doing what we love if it wasn’t for you. Thank you for the nominations—and most of all, for the support.”

The Canadian Choice Award gave the Kindersley community an opportunity to recognize and celebrate The Crafted Hand, which has been serving customers in town for the past four years.
