The Kerrobert Courthouse Restoration Society supplied a booth at the Kerrobert Harvest Festival on October 10th.
Worth saving: The Kerrobert Courthouse sits wrapped in fall colour at the corner of Manitoba Avenue and Bosworth Street. The Kerrobert Courthouse Restoration Society raised money toward restoration work with a food booth at the Kerrobert Harvest Festival on Oct. 10.
The booth consisted of hot chocolate, apple cider and coffee along with bowls of snacks, as well as a meal of smokies or hotdogs with German potato salad and baked beans.
The meal wouldn’t have been possible without the Kerrobert Seniors’ Club, who made the potato salad and beans and donated their time to make it. We are very grateful for their contribution to the fundraiser.
We would also like to thank Lisa Murphy for donating apple cider mix. We would like to thank the Kerrobert Fire Department for the use of their BBQ, as well as the individual firemen who were in attendance and were so helpful with the operation of the BBQ.
Thanks goes out to Sieben’s Meats, Kerrobert Shop Easy and the Kerrobert Reddi Mart for always being so helpful with our fundraising orders. Thanks also goes out to DNOW Precision for donating cups for our event.
The Kerrobert Kinsmen kindly made a monetary donation to help cover costs for the fundraiser, and we are extremely grateful to them as well.
A big thank you also goes out to everyone who attended and supported our booth and bar at the festival. Events such as this go such a long way in helping with our courthouse restoration efforts. How lucky we are to have such an amazing small town supporting our cause!
