By Kate Winquist

The Rosetown and Kyle RCMP responded to a wide range of calls for service between September 4 and 11, 2025, including complaints of suspicious activity, theft, fires, and traffic incidents.

On September 4, members received a complaint of a suspicious person in the RM of St. Andrews.

On September 6, RCMP responded to three separate calls in Rosetown: a stolen license plate from a travel trailer, harassing communications that were resolved through alternative measures, and later in the evening, another suspicious person complaint in the RM of St. Andrews, which remains under investigation.

September 7 saw members assist with keeping the peace in the RM of Marriott, while Kyle RCMP responded to another suspicious person complaint in the RM of St. Andrews.

On September 8, Rosetown members investigated a mischief complaint to property, and Kyle RCMP conducted a wellbeing check at Sask Landing Provincial Park.

The following day was particularly busy for Rosetown RCMP. Members responded to an apartment complex fire, a traffic hazard on Highway 4 south of Rosetown, and a combine fire in the RM of Monet. Later that evening, RCMP attended a motor vehicle rollover on Highway 655 near Harris. The driver sustained only minor injuries and was cleared by EMS.

On September 10, Kyle RCMP received a complaint of an abandoned vehicle at a local business, requiring no further action. Members also received multiple reports of dangerous driving on Highway 7, particularly in the passing lanes, with drivers cutting others off or not traveling at proper speeds.

The following day, Rosetown RCMP were called to a disturbance complaint in town, which was resolved without further action. Members also received a driving complaint on Highway 7 in the RM of St. Andrews but were unable to respond at the time. Later that afternoon, RCMP assisted EMS with a farming accident in the RM of Monet, where minor injuries were reported.

Throughout the week, members issued 40 traffic-related charges. No 911 misdials were recorded, though four false alarm calls were received.

Police are asking anyone with information about these or any other crimes to contact the Rosetown RCMP at 306-882-5700 or report anonymously to Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or online at www.saskcrimestoppers.com.
