Edmonton man charged after Swift Current drug trafficking investigation
SWIFT CURRENT — A 32-year-old Edmonton man is facing multiple charges after Saskatchewan RCMP’s Saskatchewan Trafficking Response Team (STRT) and Alberta’s Law Enforcement Response Teams (ALERT) executed a search warrant in Swift Current on Oct. 21.
Police searched a residence and seized an estimated 255 grams of cocaine, a large amount of cash, four mobile phones, brass knuckles, trafficking paraphernalia and 18 cartons of unstamped cigarettes.
An adult male was arrested on Central Avenue North in connection with the investigation.
Tristan Humeniuk-Francis is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine, possession of proceeds of crime over $5,000, possession of a prohibited weapon and possession of unstamped tobacco.
Humeniuk-Francis appeared in Swift Current provincial court on Oct. 22. The investigation is ongoing.
