Eatonia celebrates community spirit with full day of activities

Eatonia was a busy place on Saturday, June 20, as residents and visitors gathered for a full day of community activities.
The annual Show and Shine drew a collection of classic vehicles that lined the streets, while the vendor market inside the community hall featured about 20 vendors offering handmade crafts, unique gifts and home baking. Visitors spent the day browsing the displays before heading outside to admire the vintage automobiles.

Across the street, members of the volunteer fire department kept hungry visitors well fed with a barbecue burger lunch. Those with a sweet tooth made their way to the historic train station, where volunteers served generous slices of homemade pie in a wide variety of flavours.
The community's ball diamonds were also bustling with activity during Minor Ball Day. The campground was filled with families and spectators cheering on young athletes as teams from Kindersley, Eatonia, Fox Valley and Eston took to the fields for a full day of baseball.
The combination of classic cars, local vendors, great food and youth sports made for another successful community celebration, bringing together people of all ages to enjoy everything Eatonia had to offer.
