Fun Fact: St. Nicholas

Tradition has it that St. Nicholas was born in ancient Patara, now an archaeological site in modern Turkey. He was imprisoned for some time for his Christian faith, and went on to serve as bishop of Myra.

He was and still is considered to be a special protector of young people, and is revered at many locations around the world.
