Young chefs were busy cooking at "What's Cooking" VBS

"What's Cooking" was the theme of Vacation Bible School (VBS) held at Kindersley Christian Fellowship from August 17th to 21st. Approximately twenty children, ages 4 to 9, donned their chef hats and aprons and did some real cooking.

The young chefs learned that cooking is more than just mixing stuff together. It takes time, creativity, care and knowing what each ingredient brings to the table. The same is true when it comes to growing their faith.

The theme was fun and full of biblical examples of building strong spiritual disciplines. They heard Old Testament stories that gave examples of how God always makes time for them and gives them gifts that make a difference. God makes them stronger together, and they learned how they can make him known by sharing their stories.

The kids enjoyed plenty of treats, surprises, crafts and games throughout the week. They found out how food brings people together and makes room for conversation to flow.

Children attending who were 10 years and older participated as junior leaders under the supervision of a team of adult volunteers. It was a great opportunity for children to learn how to grow closer to God.
