Wilkie break and enter under investigation: RCMP

Unity RCMP responded to a range of calls between Feb. 17 and Feb. 23, including a break and enter in Wilkie that remains under investigation.
UNITY
In Unity, officers issued a 60-day roadside suspension during a traffic stop.
A 32-year-old Unity man was charged with failing to comply with a probation order after police received a complaint that he was breaching a condition of his probation.
A 39-year-old Unity woman was charged with uttering threats following a breach of peace complaint.
Police also received a report of two lost firearms and responded to a neighbour dispute; however, the complainant declined to proceed.
Members were asked to keep the peace on two separate occasions — once while a landlord conducted a home inspection and once while an individual attended a residence to retrieve personal belongings.
RCMP received a report of an individual walking along Highway 14 near Unity. Officers patrolled the area but were unable to locate the person.
Police responded to a Mental Health Act complaint and spoke with the individual involved. Officers also assisted Emergency Medical Services with a patient call.
Members attended a three-vehicle collision in Unity. No injuries were reported and one driver was issued a traffic ticket.
During the reporting period, Unity RCMP also dealt with three false 911 calls and one additional traffic complaint.
WILKIE
Wilkie RCMP are investigating a break and enter at a residence. The matter remains under investigation.
Police also received a report of a break and enter at a shop in Landis, but there was insufficient evidence to proceed.
Officers responded to a complaint of a loose dog in Wilkie and referred the matter to the local bylaw officer.
Members received a complaint of harassing communications; however, there was insufficient evidence to proceed. An assault complaint was also received, but the complainant declined to proceed.
Police responded to two Mental Health Act complaints and spoke with the individuals involved.
During the week, Wilkie RCMP also handled one traffic complaint and one false 911 call.
MACKLIN
In Macklin, RCMP assisted the Edmonton Police Service with an investigation.
Members also responded to one false alarm.
