Thirty-one campers, one week to go at Luseland Bible Camp

Thirty-one campers were enjoying free time at Luseland Bible Camp on Thursday afternoon, with one week of the summer season left to run.
The campers ranged in age from nine to 12 and came from near and far. A girl from Unity said she brought her cousin from Fort McMurray along for camp week.
Camp leader Bronson Hemmerlindl said one more week of camp remains this summer. Campers are divided into teams for the week. They receive biblical instruction from their leaders while working on archery, the zip line and climbing wall, swimming and games.
Gaga ball appeared to be the favourite. It is a gentler version of dodgeball played inside an enclosed pit, where the goal is to tag an opponent below the knee. One camper said she also enjoyed a soccer game played with a greased melon instead of a ball.
Luseland Bible Camp opened in 1933 and is one of 38 camps operated by One Hope Canada.
