Kelly Lindbergh read a message on behalf of Jeremy Patzer, MP for Swift Current–Grasslands–Kindersley, which exhorted the grads that they can do whatever they set out to accomplish. She also read a message from Eric Schmalz, Minister of Immigration and Career Training. He encouraged the grads to build a career right here in Saskatchewan.

Up next at the podium was Colleen Young, MLA for Lloydminster. She shared the opportunities available to the grads in Saskatchewan and extended sincere congratulations. Jeremy Roberts, Acting Chair for Great Plains College, also offered his congratulations. He noted the grads have developed character and resilience during their course, thanks to the help of family, friends and staff.

In his presentation to the grads, President and CEO Brad Mahon admitted we live in an uncertain world, but added, "The certainty I can give you is the education you received at Great Plains College."

Mavis Moulder, instructor at Great Plains College, gave a tribute to the grads, using a mason's mortarboard to illustrate the significance of the grad cap. The cap signifies the completion of studies and building of knowledge. Seungmin Chung responded with a reply from the graduates.

The highlight of the evening was the presentation of diplomas for completing studies in the Adult Basic Education (CAEC and Grade 12) and Continuing Care Assistant programs. Academic and achievement awards were also handed out for each graduating class.
