After three hours of snowblowing on the farm near Pinkham, Greg Paulhus drove his wife, Fern Block, to the Smiley Hutterite Colony, where she works as a teacher and principal. A spring storm on April 16 left about a foot of snow on the grid road for the Friday drive.
