Grandpa Gary (aka Gary Babcock) shared these photos on the Historic Saskatchewan Facebook page in 2023. With the rally coming up this weekend, they’re worth a look. “Long before the snowmobile, people built Snow-Plane’s for winter transportation. I recently had the opportunity to go for a ride in this one, powered by a Fl thead Ford V8,” Gary wrote. Gary loved sharing his knowledge of cars, bikes and all things mechanical. He passed away in July 2025.
