Shaunavon RCMP investigating fatal Highway 37 collision

SHAUNAVON - Shaunavon RCMP are investigating a two-vehicle collision that killed a 43-year-old woman south of the community on May 20.
Police received the report at approximately 6 p.m., regarding a collision on Highway 37, about 24 kilometres south of Shaunavon. Officers responded with local fire and EMS.
Investigators determined a semi and a minivan collided. A passenger in the minivan was transported to hospital by EMS, where she was declared deceased. She has been identified as a 43-year-old woman from Climax and Medicine Hat. Her family has been notified.
The driver of the minivan was taken to hospital with injuries described as serious.
The driver and sole occupant of the semi did not report injuries to police.
Shaunavon RCMP continue to investigate with the assistance of a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist.
