Rosetown RCMP investigate stolen vehicle, house fire during busy week
ROSETOWN - Rosetown and Kyle RCMP responded to several incidents across the region during the week of May 29 to June 4, 2026.
A residential structure fire in Rosetown on June 1 was contained quickly after starting on a stove. No injuries were reported.
Police are also investigating two ongoing files: a dispute reported May 30, and the theft of a vehicle from a Rosetown business reported May 31. Anyone with information is asked to contact Rosetown RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
Other calls for service included a wellbeing check in Zealandia on May 29 and another in Kyle on June 2, an abandoned vehicle complaint near Harris on May 29, a malfunctioning CN railway crossing in Rosetown late May 29, a general public assistance call in Zealandia on May 31, and a report of vehicle vandalism in Rosetown on June 3, which remains under investigation.
A 911 call came in May 30 reporting a newborn moose north of Elrose.
Over the week, RCMP issued 52 traffic-related charges and handled five 911 misdials and two false alarm calls.
