RCMP seize drugs and tobacco
LLOYDMINSTER - On July 4, 2025, after investigating tips received from Crime Stoppers, members of the Lloydminster RCMP Crime Reduction Unit (CRU) executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a property in Lloydminster, SK, as part of an ongoing drug trafficking investigation.
As a result of the search, officers seized approximately:
10 grams of methamphetamine;
84 grams of cocaine;
Small amounts of psilocybin and MDMA;
Cannabis;
70 cartons of unstamped tobacco; and
A set of brass knuckles.
As a result of the investigation, Amanda Pirnak-Hladchuk (39), a resident of Lloydminster, was arrested and charged with:
Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking (x3)
Possession of a prohibited weapon;
Possession of Cannabis with intention to sell or distribute; and
Possession of unstamped tobacco products for the purpose of sale.
Amanda Pirnak-Hladchuk was released on conditions and is set to appear at the Lloydminster Provincial Court on Sept. 15, 2025.
“This warrant is part of our continued commitment to targeting drug trafficking and associated criminal activity in our community,” said Cst Jason DeCoste of the Lloydminster RCMP CRU. “The seizure of these dangerous substances helps reduce the threat to public safety.”
