Police investigate early-morning break-ins at seven Unity businesses
UNITY — Unity RCMP are investigating a series of break-ins at seven local businesses in the early hours of January 8.
Police say stolen cash was reported in several incidents, though minimal damage was caused to the properties. Investigators have determined that the same suspect, described as a large-built male wearing a black jacket, blue jeans, black shoes, and a black face covering, is believed to be involved in all seven break-ins. RCMP say the individual was likely walking through town carrying a crowbar.
Residents are asked to review security camera or doorbell footage from midnight to 4 a.m. on January 8 and report anything suspicious.
Anyone with information or who recognizes the individual in released photos is asked to contact Unity RCMP by calling 310-RCMP. Tips can also be submitted anonymously to Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or through www.saskcrimestoppers.com.
RCMP continue to investigate.
