Pathway to Wellness marks 10 years in Kindersley
By Joan Janzen
Joanne Kosolofski’s journey with Pathway to Wellness began ten years ago, in the fall of 2016. That’s when an open house was held at the West Central Events Centre (WCEC), where people came to take a look at the new wellness room, equipped with a half dozen exercise machines.
Pathway to Wellness partnered with the WCEC and the Heartland Health Region. Donations from the Baseball Canada Cup and Inter Pipeline helped make the project possible, along with many dedicated volunteers.
The idea for the project began five years earlier, after Joanne’s husband survived a heart attack. Since then, Pathway to Wellness has continued to thrive, grow and expand, helping many people at varying levels of fitness.
Ten years ago, Joanne Kosolofski spearheaded an exercise program in Kindersley for people with chronic disease. The Pathway to Wellness open house was held at the WCEC in the fall of 2016.
