Kindersley Town Council: Resignation, By-Election, and Financial Approvals

KINDERSLEY – The Town of Kindersley held its regular Town Council meeting on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, addressing several key matters including a councillor resignation, upcoming by-election, and financial approvals.

Council officially accepted the written resignation of Councillor Barlow, effective October 5, 2025, and declared the office of councillor vacant under Section 96 of the Municipalities Act. To fill the vacancy, council set Wednesday, March 25, 2026, as the date for a by-election. Chief Administrative Officer Marty Baroni was authorized to make all necessary arrangements for the by-election in accordance with the Local Government Election Act, 2015, and the Municipalities Act.

On financial matters, council approved the list of accounts as paid by the Town of Kindersley, totalling $1,388,982.85.
