Kindersley Curling Club
The ice is officially ready as the Kindersley Curling Club slides into its 2026-2027 season, extending a warm welcome to everyone from lifelong competitive players to beginners looking for a fun social activity.
Community registration
The club officially introduced its new Curling I/O online registration portal at its October 15 AGM, where local resident Janet Harris won a free league fee for the upcoming winter.
Following the AGM, a busy community evening was held on October 22. The open event combined a Curling I/O registration and information session, youth Learn to Curl registration and a free curling night.
A league for everyone
This season’s weekly league lineup is built with flexibility and inclusion in mind.
Monday Night Men’s/Open Competitive League: Designed for intermediate to advanced teams looking for classic competition.
Wednesday Afternoon League (1 p.m.): A low-commitment drop-in format that welcomes both traditional slide and stick delivery.
Thursday “6-FUN-6” Open League (6:30 p.m. and 8 p.m.): A social, non-intimidating six-week format perfect for new curlers and groups of friends.
Remember, it’s never too late to join a league!
Youth Learn to Curl program
Youth programming also runs this winter for Grades 4 to 12 (ages 9 to 18), with essential equipment like brooms and sliders provided by the club.
The club extends its sincere thanks to the West Central Saskatchewan Oilmen’s Association, dedicated sponsors of the Youth Learn to Curl program. Their continued support keeps local youth sports affordable and accessible for families across the community.
Upcoming events and open board positions
The winter calendar kicks off with the annual Tropicurl Bonspiel, scheduled for November 20 and 21.
To keep these local traditions running smoothly, the club is always looking for passionate people to join its board of directors and help guide the facility’s future. Volunteers are also needed to help staff the WCEC Lounge during busy weekend games and combined events.
To register for leagues, view bonspiel updates or ask about board seats, visit the club’s website or the new Curling I/O site, and follow the club on Facebook and Instagram.
