"Being the first Saskatchewan conference in six years, the SSLC Comeback Tour was three days of meeting new people, learning important life lessons, and feeling what it's like to be a leader," Sadie said.
Bentley said she gained a better perspective on how to include everyone in their schools and make sure everyone feels like they have a place to contribute.
The guest speakers at the conference greatly impacted the students. "The sessions taught us that bad things can sometimes lead to better and more positive outcomes," Stella said, adding that she realized the mission was not to be afraid to fail. Abby said the dance was definitely a core memory, along with the people she met.
Khylle returned from the conference with the realization that sometimes leadership is about being there for people, making them feel protected and valued. Brody considered the conference a great way to get into the school year and get new ideas for another year of SLC. Piper agreed, noting the conference helped her grow her leadership skills to a deeper level.
Mrs. Glencross said delegates stepped out of their comfort zone, crushed a talent show performance and made lasting connections. Shaye Jamieson concluded, "It's so fulfilling to spend time with like-minded professionals. It really is the best way to start off a new school year."
