Introducing Christian LaFontaine

Christian LaFontaine received his Saskatchewan Funeral Director License at the Funeral and Cremation Services Council of Saskatchewan AGM on Tuesday, May 26, 2026. He is now fully licensed to serve families in Kindersley and district, as well as through branch offices in Eston and Kerrobert.

Christian joined the team in fall 2025 to complete his funeral director training. He completed the didactic portion of his education through Mount Royal University and fulfilled his practicum requirements with Kindersley Community Funeral Home.

After obtaining his license, Christian chose to stay on as a full-time staff member. He brings considerable experience to the role, having started in the funeral profession at age 16 as an attendant working at various funeral homes across Saskatchewan.

His compassion and genuine care for families has already been felt by those he has served during arrangements and services. His empathy and dedication to helping others in their time of need is evident from the moment you meet him.

Outside of work, faith is central to his life and he is already an active member of the community here in Kindersley. When he is not at work, you will find him fishing on any lake he can get to or spending time with his large family.
