Goose Festival is underway in Kindersley! Photos!

Kindersley’s 54th annual Goose Festival got underway Thursday, and the weather could not have been more perfect for a day of activities around town.

The annual Terry Fox Walk made its way down Main Street, led by the KCS Band and followed by students and teachers from all three Kindersley schools, along with members of the public. Along the route, band members greeted onlookers and thanked them for coming out to watch and show their support.

Over at Caleb Village, toes were tapping to the sounds of musical duo Arbutus Holiday, while shoppers browsed a vendor market at the Kindersley Senior Centre. Food trucks could also be found throughout town.

By late afternoon, the 300 block of Main Street was buzzing. From 5 to 7:30 p.m., there were bouncy castles, face painting, a Show & Shine hosted by K-Town Cruise Night and plenty of street hockey as members of the Kindersley Klippers grabbed their sticks and invited anyone who wanted to join the game.

The Co-op Community Corner was also busy with a barbecue, while families wandered Main Street taking in the cars, activities and beautiful fall weather.

And this was only Day One!

There are still three more days of activities, food and fun ahead as Kindersley celebrates Goose Festival!
