Erratic driving complaints highlight busy week for Rosetown RCMP
Erratic driving complaints on Highway 7 were among the incidents reported to Rosetown RCMP over the past week.
On April 10, RCMP responded to a wellbeing check in Rosetown and also received a report of a missing wallet.
In the early hours of April 12, police received a complaint of a suspicious vehicle in the RM of Lacadena. Members conducted patrols but were unable to locate the vehicle. Later that day, RCMP carried out two separate wellbeing checks in Rosetown.
On April 13, RCMP received a complaint of erratic driving on Highway 7 near Rosetown but were not in a position to intercept the vehicle. That evening, members responded to a breach of the peace in Zealandia and provided a courtesy ride.
On April 14, RCMP were called to assist at Rosetown High School. Officers also received another erratic driving complaint on Highway 7 near Zealandia but were again unable to intercept the vehicle. A report of harassing communications in Zealandia was investigated and determined to be unfounded.
During the reporting period, RCMP issued 57 traffic-related charges. Police also responded to two 911 misdial calls and two false alarms.
