Communities get together at end-of-summer carnival

Kids and adults from Eatonia, Leader, Richmound, Golden Prairie and Maple Creek joined up with the folks at Fox Valley for an end-of-summer carnival. The event was hosted on Sunday afternoon, August 30 by the Fox Valley Skating Arena. A total of seven teams and 29 children aged 6 to 16 participated in a 3-on-3 street hockey tournament.

The tournament was followed by carnival games, glitter tattoos, a colouring table, a barbecue, an outdoor movie and free swimming at the local pool.

Proceeds from the carnival went to the arena plant project, which included a major overhaul of the arena's ice surface, boards and glass.
